I think it's a perfect balance of being comfortable while still being on an adventure.

Everywhere we stay should have hot water, electricity, running toilets, and even internet -- I say should because even though all the places we've stayed have always had these amenities, it's still south east asia and you can't guarantee anything. But that's part of the fun!

So to sum it up, we aren't staying at the Ritz but we are staying in completely safe areas. And everyone who's gone has loved where we end up :)
