Totally up to you. Definitely ask your doctor, I'd say, and go with what you feel after speaking with him/her. We, however, haven't ever gotten any shots for SE Asia.

We also never consider any sort of malaria treatment. We aren't going anywhere remotely risky for malaria. If your doctor recommends that, it's likely because he doesn't know better or he's confusing where we're going in Cambodia (where malaria is not an issue) with some far off, remote parts of Cambodia where malaria is a small risk.
